This is because some types of wood like solid wood will look better if it restores to the original condition with the stripping of the wood make it amazing. How to refinish a table is not an easy task and it can be as easy as painting. So, instead of painting, you can refinish your old table to give a new look.

Remove hardware or cover the exposed metal with painter’s tape to avoid making damage from the stripper. How to refinish a table can be started by applying the stripper. Apply an even coat to the surface using a paint brush and let it works for 15 to 20minutes. Don’t ignore the clock because letting the stripper too long will make it harder to remove. After applying the stripper, you can remove the finish. Use a putty knife to remove the finish. A plastic tool is a better option because the metal one can scratch the surface. Don’t fight with the finish, but just remove it as much as you can. Repeat the process if you are removing multiple coats of paint.

After removing the finish, now you can sand the grain. Rub the wood by dabbing a pad of fine steel wool in the stripper to the direction of the grain. This will make any residual finish removed and use fine-grade sandpaper to sand the surface lightly allowing the discolorations to even out.  When the discolorations have been even out, you can apply the stain. Think about how you dare want the stain to look like and make sure that the coat is evenly applied. Remove any excess stain as soon as possible using a piece of cheese cloth. Repeat the process until you get your desire finish. The last, you need to protect them with a wax, polyurethane.
